The 6th birthday is a HUGE milestone in the Lavender classroom - Jacob was waiting all year long for his 'Golden Star Birthday'. At last it had arrived the 2nd weekend of June for the last week of school. Mommy & Daddy both got to join Jacob for the morning walk through Woodland Park, drawing in the 'birthday book', and hearing the story of how Jacob arrived on Earth. It was a magical day. Then it was time for the birthday party! This year Jacob's birthday - June 18th - fell on a Saturday, so we invited his whole class to join us a Matthew's Beach. We had a scavenger hunt, orca piñata, and cupcakes (Jacob chose pumpkin!). Grandma Tilla and Papa Chuck had just arrived for their month stay with us, and so were a great help.
