Moving Day!!!

In mid-December we moved to our new home on Lake Washington! It was a very busy day moving all our stuff out of the Radford Court townhouse, and we were so lucky that Jonathan's grad-students helped us.

December in Seattle!

Early - Mid December is a bit of a blur as we were busy getting our apartment packed up for the move to the Lake House and Jacob was finishing up his last week or so of kindergarten before winter break.

I forget if I blogged it already - but Mila is walking!!! She tooks her first steps in front of all of us and Grammy during the Halloween weekend. From there she took more and more steps each day…and now she is running! Watch out world!

Aunt Meredith's Visit - early December

It was such great luck that Aunt Meredith (Daddy's littlest sister) flew to Seattle for a residency interview in early December. We greatly enjoyed having her over for dinner and getting to visit together. The kids took to her immediately!

Thanksgiving with Nana Jill & Grandpa Ron

This was our first Thanksgiving in Seattle, and we were so happy to have Nana Jill and Grandpa Ron come celebrate with us. We all had Thanksgiving dinner at our friend Antonello's home with his 2 children Mattia & Martina. It was a very fun evening with friends, family, and yummy food.

Frost! Jacob loved playing in it and making snow - his Waldorf gear comes in handy for playing in cold weather!

Grandma & Papa Visit - early November 2011

We were so lucky to have lots of family come visit us in late October/November/December! Grammy visited during Halloween, Grandma Tilla & Papa Chuck came in early November, Auntie Sarah came the week before Thanksgiving, Nana Jill & Grandpa Ron came for Thanksgiving, and Auntie Meredith visited in early December!

Kinderhaus Lantern Walk - November 2011

As a way to welcome the light that is to come at the end of winter, Jacob's kindergarten class participates in a Lantern walk at a local park. Teachers Mary & Kelly set up beautiful paper lanterns the children helped to make all throughout the park, and lead the children along the lighted path while singing songs about winter. It was a beautiful ceremony, and we were so happy that Grandma Tilla & Papa Chuck could take part in it with us.
