We went to Matsuri - A Japanese Festival a few weekends ago and were all mesmerized by the Taiko drummers that performed. Jacob must have watched them for almost 2 hours, and then got to try the drums at the end of the performance. Then last weekend they had a introductory class at the Dojo in Phoenix. Jacob tried it out and did very well. I was very impressed by his patience and ability to stick it out through the 1.5 hr class. He's a bit young yet, especially since the other kids in the class were around 10-12 years old. But it's definitely something we may come back to in a few years.
