More from Mammoth

Got some more pictures from Mammoth today! These are from the day Erica (Auntie Sarah's friend) joined us for some skiing fun. We took Jacob on the backside of the mountain down chairs 13 and 14. He did amazing, and even went down some pretty hard blue/black runs.

Our 6 month old Mila

Time is flying by, and I can't believe we are half way through her first year. She is a very happy baby, much in love with her brother Jacob. She loves to smile, laugh, drool, and most of all to stick her tongue out. She is getting better at sitting up on her own, but still topples over after 5-10 seconds. She is trying to crawl if you put her on her tummy; she can spin herself around and attempts to push with her legs. Won't be long til she is mobile.

Jacob is back in preschool after a week off for spring break. He is so full of curiosity about the world, and is a huge help with Mila.

We return to the butterflies...

This weekend Grandma Tilla came down from Pine to visit with us and we had to take her to see the butterfly exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden. The butterflies were slow to land on us this time, but we found our magical spot in the exhibit and they came to us :)

Thank you Grandma Tilla for all your help this weekend!

Tilla & Mila ready to check out the butterflies!

Daddy & Jacob are pretty excited too ;)

Lunch at the Farm with Great Aunt & Uncle Steele & friends

Last Wednesday Great Aunt Mary & Great Uncle Dave stopped in Tempe for a visit on their trek across the United States seeing the country and visiting with friends & family. We greatly enjoyed spending time with them, getting to show them our house, and just having some free time to talk. They met us at the Farm in South Mountain, a pecan farm with a restaurant serving amazing food fresh out of the garden and super yummy desserts! We had a picnic on the grass with our friends Meredyth, Maya, & Max. The kids got to run around for hours!

Thank you Mary & Dave for visiting with us!

Setting up the picnic area - we had balls, frisbees, sand toys, & a stomp rocket! Was so nice of Meredyth, Maya, & Max to invite us for a picnic.

Butterflies Galore at the Desert Botanical Garden!

A few weekends ago we visited the Desert Botanical Garden to check out the butterflies in their amazing walk-in exhibit. Upon entering the door they started landing on all of us. It was so magical! We must have stayed in their for over an hour.

They really liked the Sunday Afternoon Hats!

Even Mila got a few as she napped/nursed in the Ergo with her flap happy hat.

After the butterflies we took a walk through Jacob's favorite loop with the Native American structures and make-your-own paint brushes (they actually work really well). Then we noticed they were having a festival for the kids with music, dancing, face painting, and a world champion balloon artist. Mama waited in line for at least an hour so that Jacob could get a space shuttle balloon complete with Saturn. It was well worth the long wait in the heat! And it's still in the living room!
