Camping in Anchor Bay, CA

I am ridiculously behind in my blogging...getting your nurse practitioner degree takes a lot of work! Anyway, I have a few spare moments and blogging is a great way to decrease stress, so I'm finally going to update the blog :)

We spent the first week of May in Anchor Bay, CA camping with Grandma Tilla & Papa Chuck (Sparky too!). Though it rained for the first couple days, we had a very relaxing time & it was so nice to be back near the ocean again. This year we bought a kayak and had it shipped to San Jose for the trip (thank you Ashley & James for accepting it and giving up some of your garage for a few weeks!). We took the kayak out in the ocean once, but Mama was a bit of a chicken, so we didn't stay out for long. But then we found a river nearby to kayak down, which was an amazing experience. Jacob even went on it for a little bit.

Here are some pictures from the week -

Jacob in his rainboots; we had to purchase some in town because after 2 days of rain he had no more clean socks and his kai runners were soaked...the rainboots worked great and Jacob loved that they were decorated like a fire truck :)

Jacob & Papa playing in the super cold Pacific Ocean...Jacob didn't mind how cold it was, but man did it make your feet go numb!

Flying the swivel kite

He got really good at flying the kite :)

Loving the RV's warm outside shower

Mama & Daddy braving the cold water to go kayaking

Grandma Tilla & Papa Chuck arriving down river on the kayak

On our drive from Anchor Bay to Big Sur on Mother's Day...Jacob finally fell asleep after 3+ hours.
