Grammy & Sarah's early September visit

Grammy and Sarah flew in labor day weekend to celebrate Mila's birthday and spend some time with us.  The weather has been amazing - only a few hours of rain in the last 70+ days!  So we did lots of outdoor activities - biking, running, fishing, wake boarding…  It was a great visit and we miss them both a lot.

Happy 2nd Birthday Mila!

And how can I forget Mila turning 2?  Such a big event and she loved her party.  We invited a couple of her favorite people (piperliam, samantha, autumn….she would have loved addy, riley, and jayden to be there too, but they were in Europe).  Grammy and Auntie Sarah flew in special to celebrate with us as well.

Mt. Rainier Camping Trip - July 2012

Oops!  I forgot to post pictures from our summer camping trip to Mt. Rainier with Grandma Tilla & Papa Chuck.  We stayed a few days at Ohanapecosh near the SE corner of the park.  It was surprisingly warm at the campsite, but once we got near the river it was nice and cool.  Jonathan and I got to go on an amazingly beautiful trail run, we hiked as a family to the Falls, and spent a day in Paradise with lots of snow!

Scottish Lakes Camping - Part 2

On Saturday we hiked to Lake Julius and back - this was where the kids had the amazing fishing experience.  On Sunday we hiked up to Stegosaurus Rock, then literally ran back down to camp.  What toook us 1.5 hours to climb up, the kids ran down in less than 30 minutes.  After a quick lunch, it was back in the suburbans down the mountains to our cars, and home (after a milkshake at the 59er Diner).

Scottish Lakes High Camp

This last weekend we ventured up to Scottish Lakes High Camp for some outdoor adventure with 3 other families - The Walters, Geigers, and Bakers.  It was a very fun adventure - and very dusty!!!  We hiked, fished, slack-lined, hot-tubbed, roasted marshmallows, fed birds…..it was a very full weekend!
