Hmmmm.....What's different?

Jacob has glasses! He got them last week and the transition is going very well. He actually enjoys wearing them. And he looks very hansome in them, just like Daddy :)

Jacob's 1st day of Kindergarten!

Today was Jacob's first day of Kindergarten at Seattle Waldorf School Kinderhaus - and he LOVED it!!! Not sure how he couldn't with 2 hour daily forest walks, baking, sewing, lots of crafts, 20 new friends, and 2 amazing teachers - Mary & Kelly. We are very excited for this new journey Jacob is beginning, and are so relieved and happy that he is excited and enjoying it too. Oh yes, and did I mention they are raising chickens too! More to come....

a little pre-walk swinging to get the blood flowing

his forest gear - well part of it, this is Seattle, and they go for a 2 hr walk rain, snow,or shine.

Jacob says - "this is the biggest tree I've ever seen!"

Grandma Tilla visits Seattle!

We were so happy to have Grandma Tilla come visit with us for the past 9 days! We had lots of fun together and greatly appreciated her help as we settle in. We miss you Grandma Tilla!

checking out the football game from our bike ride on Burke Gilman - going to have to go to one of those!

Guess what came in the mail - an amazing baby doll for Mila's birthday made by Great Aunt Mary! Thank you Aunt Mary, it is amazing!

Happy 1st Birthday Mila!!!

Our little girl turned 1 on September 1st!!!

Since we'd just moved to Seattle one week earlier it was a bit smaller scale party than her brother's 1st birthday, but we tried to shower our sweet Mila Marie (MM) with as much love and happiness. It was a day of many firsts - our first family bike ride with both kids in the chariot trailer, a first visit to discovery park, a yummy cupcake all for Mila, and some presents to open. We think Mila greatly enjoyed the day; I know we did!

Happy Birthday Mila!

I'm one!!

Heading out for our first family ride

Opening some presents from our neighbor in Tempe Christine

She actually really liked the cupcake - boysenberry frosting, yum!

Jacob loved his chocolate, chocolate, chocolate cupcake too!
