So long My Gym...

This last week Jacob had his last My Gym class. I am so proud with how much he has grown this year. It is hard to believe that a little over a year ago he started taking classes here with Mr. David and his friends (Max, Dominic, & Mikey) and would cry throughout the class (and sometimes the night before and on the way), and refuse to do many of the skills. Now he is so confident in his ability, and willing to try anything. Most important he is having lots of fun! I thought it was perfect he was able to end his time at My Gym with the zipline.

Thank you Mr. David, Mr. D., and Brittany for making this year so special.

An Out-of-this-World Birthday Adventure!

Happy 5th Birthday Jacob!!!

On Saturday we celebrated Jacob turning 5 with a space themed party. Nana Jill & Grandpa Ron flew in from Florida, Grandma Tilla & Papa Chuck drove down from Pine, and we had some of Jacob's friends over too. There were straw rockets, swimming, rocket pinata, pizza, presents, and cake!

Thank you to all for helping us celebrate Jacob's special day.

The cake
Thank you Nana Jill for all your help with the cake. I know it was a big undertaking this year trying out fondant, but I greatly enjoyed working on it with you. We'll go simple for Mila's 1st cake :)

can't believe I have a 5 year old! still remember holding him for the first time; time is going by too quickly.

Sibling bathtime fun

Mila and Jacob have so much fun in the tub; lots of laughter and splashing! Mila graduated from the blue tub in the sink a few months ago, just too much splashing. She is much happier with her brother, but oh how she splashes.

Mama, Jacob, & Mila's visit to Long Beach - late May

Almost a month ago Mama took to the kids to Long Beach to visit with Grammy & Grandpa while Daddy was away on business to New Hampshire. Auntie Sarah even drove down from Mammoth for a few days to visit with us too. The weather was amazing and we all had a great time visiting our favorite places, and even a few new ones. And of course we always enjoy visiting with our local So Cal friends :)

Great Aunt Mary and Great Uncle Dave were in Long Beach for one of the days we were there too, so we greatly enjoyed visiting with them as well! Even Cousin Kenny came over for a little while so he and Jacob could blow out some early bday candles (Kenny turned 21!; and Jacob was turning 5 in a few weeks).

We met up with Libby & Kai for a few hours; the kids had fun on a 3 story play structure while Auntie Sarah, Mama, Libby, & Grammy got to talk. It was great visiting with them. And I swear we did not coordinate their outfits....not even the matching shoes.
