Mila's 1st plane ride

Yesterday we flew home and took Mila on her 1st plane trip. She fell asleep before the plane took off and woke up as we were landing. Didn't even cry once - though I'm sure nursing the whole time helped a bit. Jacob is our seasoned flyer, and so enjoyed watching a cat in the hat during the flight.

Hitting the beach on Thanksgiving Day

While Grammy was busy cooking at the beach house, we took the kiddos to the Belmont Shore beach to play a bit. Daddy met us there on his paddle board.

Mila & her Grandpa Chuck

Grandpa Chuck quickly bonded with our little Mila. This was his 1st time meeting her and she loved staring at him and listening to his voice.

Thanksgiving Week at the Beach House

We spent the last 10 days playing in Long Beach for the Thanksgiving break. Daddy had a conference at the Convention Center in Long Beach, so we got to spend some great quality time with Grammy & Grandpa at the Beach House. Auntie Sarah drove down from Mammoth, and Great Aunt Mary & Uncle Dave drove down from Reno too, so we got to visit with lots of family & friends.

On the way to LB, we stopped in to visit with Great Grandma Chana in Desert Hot Springs. She got to meet Mila for the 1st time and see how much Jacob has grown. Unfortunately those pictures are all on another camera that we left at the beach house...so those won't be added to the blog until January sometime :(

This was Mila's 1st big car trip and luckily she did great. It was a slow start at first, but after a half hour of crying and some nursing, she slept the rest of the way to Great Grandma's house....then slept the rest of the way to Long Beach. Couldn't have asked for a better car ride. And of course Jacob is great in the car now too.

Ice Cream with Friends

The Friday before Thanksgiving week Jacob went to see "The Little Red Hen" with his preschool class at the AZ Puppet Theater. Afterwards we went out for pizza and ice cream with some of his buddies. Mama & Mila were feeling a bit under the weather, so I didn't get a lot of pictures, but here are a few from the ice cream part.

Our Trapeze Artist

Here's a video of Jacob on the trapeze from his My Gym class this week. We are so proud of how much improvement he has made in the last 2 months. He had some setbacks the week Mila was born, and so was very afraid to go back. But we didn't want him to quit, so we took him to some free play classes so he could remember how much fun My Gym is. And it didn't take long! Now he looks forward to going back each week and to tell Daddy what he accomplishes!

Veterans Day Parade

Yesterday we took the light rail down to downtown Phoenix to watch the Veterans Day Parade. We enjoyed watching the marching bands & balloon floats. This was the 1st year Mama could go bc last year I was in school. It was quite an adventure.
