Last night we attended the multicultural celebration at Jacob's preschool. Each family brought a dish to share from their country of origin. Plus their was an amazing drum band to play along with and dance to. Jacob had a great time playing with all his friends and especially loved playing along with the drummers. It was an amazing evening. Jacob did not want to leave! Thank you Beth, Nellie, & Sarah for putting on an amazing event!

Mini Golf with friends
On Saturday we played a round of miniature golf with our friends Natasa, Miha, Ajda, & Gaber. It took about 2 hours to get through 18 holes, but we all had a great time! Then afterwards the kids played in the jungle gym for another 1.5 hours. Jacob, Mama, & Daddy all got a hole in one too!
Maricopa County Fair
On Friday we went to the Maricopa County Fair with some friends from preschool. Jacob had a great time on the kiddie rides and enjoyed checking out some of the farm animals. I was so impressed again by his independence on going on some of the rides :)
Transportation Day!
There's been a lot of field trips this month, probably because the weather is so nice and it's finally stopped raining on preschool days. Anyway, on Thursday it was Transportation Day and the kids learned all about the different transportation vehicles. To top it off they got to ride around ASU on the FLASH bus, and even got to sit in the driver's seat for a photo. Jacob loved it! And I was so proud of him that he went without me, though I showed up to take some pictures. He is becoming so independent!
The Fire Truck Visit Preschool
Last week the Tempe Firemen came to Jacob's preschool to talk about fire safety. They learned all about stop, drop, & roll; got to go inside the firetruck; and saw what a fireman looks like in all his gear. Jacob really enjoyed the experience, and when he got home he told me he wants to be a fireman when he grows up :)

"ooh, ooh, ooh, I have a question!"
Followed by "I like your tank..."
We'll have to work on what's a question and what's a statement :)

It's Splash Pad Time Again!!!
Here's some pictures from our playdate at the Desert Breeze splash pad with some friends from preschool. It wasn't quite warm enough to go in the water for a long time, but the kids had a lot of fun anyway.

Introducing Jacob's New Baby Sister!
Yes, it's true, Jacob is going to be a big brother in September! We just had our 18-week ultrasound last week and found out it's going to be a GIRL! We are all very excited and so far Jacob seems to like the idea of a little sister. Luckily he still has a few more months to let the idea completely sink in.
So far the pregnancy has been going well, and "seashell", as we've been initially calling her, is healthy and growing strong.
Here's some pictures from the ultrasound.

a little snapshot of her face...though partially hidden.
