Hawaii - Week 2

The 2nd week we rented an amazing condo overlooking the ocean in South Kona. We enjoyed eating all our meals staring off into the ocean and Jacob liked sitting in the pseudo-warm hot tub every afternoon after a long day at the beach.

The 2nd week also brought a high surf advisory, so we got to see some pretty big waves - up to 25 ft some days.

Jacob's favorite toy this trip was a little scuba diver from Grandma & Papa he called "scuba buba", but somehow we have no pictures of it...but Jacob never let it out of his sight from the second he woke up until he laid his head on the pillow at night.

Hawaii - Week 1

Here are some pictures from the 1st week in Kona. We spent each day at the beach reading, playing in the sand, snorkeling, swimming, etc; trading off between Kukio, Turtle Beach, & Two Step.

Heading off to Hawaii!

On New Years Day we headed off to Kona, Hawaii for 2 weeks of sand and sun with Grandma Tilla & Papa Chuck. Jacob did really well on the flight over and back, and thoroughly enjoyed going to the beach for 14 days straight!

Hanging out with Auntie Allison & "soon to be" Uncle Eli in Orange

We met Eli & Allison for lunch on New Years Eve at the cool old town in the City of Orange. It was wonderful catching up with them, and Jacob enjoyed showing off his new tricks.

Here are some pictures from the afternoon...

Eli took a bunch of amazing photos of Jacob and the family...here are a few.

Christmas Day & Evening

Later in the day Auntie Kristen & Uncle Danny, Great Aunt Mary, Great Uncle Dave, & Cousin Kenny came over for more festivities. Cousin Kenny brought the new Beatles Rock band, so Jacob was excited to get to play with the guitars again! We enjoyed a very yummy dinner that Grammy slaved over and then went on our traditional walk around the canal to see the lights and roller coaster. And topped it all off with Great Aunt Mary's amazing chocolate bundt cake!

...Daddy's guitar is much easier. Jacob seems to be getting in Kenny's way; he liked to sit on top of Kenny's guitar.

Opening more presents...a 2nd very big box!

Thank you Great Aunt Mary for the new monkey & zoo comforter & pillow; Jacob is already sleeping with them and loves it!

Opening Presents Christmas Morning!

Each year Jacob gets more and more into opening presents, and this year was no exception.

Opening the big box from Auntie Sarah.....

A new shopping cart!

Which he then proceeded to use to empty out Grammy's cupboards with and ring up on his cash register.

And of course he needs to give Grandpa Chuck some buzz bombs as well.

Then he got to find his new big boy bike from Grammy & Grandpa!

He went right outside and wanted to ride it immediately. Didn't take him long to get the hang of it.
