Visiting with the Raggio Family

We spent the last two weeks in beautiful Northern California for our annual summer camping vacation. Our first stop was in San Jose to visit with our good friends the Raggio's (James, Ashley, & Joey). The boys had a great time playing together and it was wonderful catching up with James & Ashley. Thank you so much James & Ashley for a great visit!

Jacob & Joey at a local park.

Joey is so adorable! He took to calling Jacob "Ketchup" and Jonathan "man." It is amazing how much he has grown in the last year!

Showing off their PJ's. Thanks for loaning us a pair as Mama forgot to pack any...oops.

We went to a super cool farmer's market in Campbell our last morning in San Jose. We had delicious crepes and bought some yummy fruit and veggies.

Jacob after he finally passed out on the long car ride up to Anchor Bay...didn't let go of the straw his whole nap.

An early mother's day surprise...

Before leaving on vacation Jacob & Jonathan had a few Mother's Day surprises for me...they got me 5 new pairs of capri pants to wear for the summer! Love my boys :)

Zoo & Green's Restaurant with the Gomes Family

A few weeks ago Jacob & I went to the zoo with Clayton, Sonja, & Leon (back before it was in the 100's!). The boys had a lot of fun playing and looking at the animals. Then that night we all went out to a yummy dinner at Green's Vegetarian restaurant.

Couldn't believe I caught the boys smiling at the same time and holding hands :)

Checking out the menu at Green's Restaurant
"What are you going to order Jacob?"

Desert Breeze Mountain Mama Playdate

Now that the kids are bigger and many of the mountain mamas have a second child, we've been meeting more at parks or our houses for playdates instead. Here is a picture from one of our recent weekly playdates at Desert Breeze park. It is amazing how much they have grown over the last 2.5 years!

Auntie Sarah visits Tempe

Here are some pictures from Auntie Sarah's visit to Tempe in late April. We were so happy she came out to see us for an entire week! Of course the time always flies by, but we had lots of fun adventures. Here are some pictures from the week!

Sarah, Jacob, & Daddy riding the McCormick train in Scottsdale

Jacob & Sarah after his long overdue haircut. Sarah held Jacob's hand through the entire haircut, it was so cute :)

We took a bike ride to the ASU fountain on the morning Sarah had to return to CA. Jacob loves throwing coins into the water, and Sarah loves getting them out so he can throw them in again :)

Passover / Easter Celebration in Pine

This year we celebrated Passover and Easter in Pine with the Warner Family. We had a traditional Seder dinner and then Jacob & Jared got to search for easter eggs outside in the front yard.

Jacob is having fun finding some eggs but he cant quite figure out what he has in his hands.

Jacob and his cousin Jared showing off there easter loot.

Jacob on an easter egg hunt. A bit tentative, but when he figured out that there was money and chocolate in those plastic eggs he got a bit more excited.

Jacob's 1st Scooter

Now I'm a bit out of order in my pictures...need to get organized I guess. Anyway, here are some pictures of Jacob's 1st scooter ride in late March. After trying it out in Utah on our trip to visit the Ruth Family, Jacob kept talking about riding a scooter. So we found one at Target that he and Daddy could put together. It is amazing how fast he picked up the skill to ride it.

Usery Park Hike with Gomes Family

Ok, so I'm a bit behind on posting pictures on the blog...it is probably going to take a while to catch up. Anyway, here are some pictures from a fun hike we took with the Gomes Family (Sonja, Mario, Clayton, & Leon) in the end of April. Unfortunately on this hike we learned of their imminent departure from AZ to upstate New York since Mario just got an amazing job offer. We are very happy for them as they head back home to NY for a new life adventure but will greatly miss them.
