Jared came down from Flagstaff on President's Day with Grandma Tilla & Papa Chuck. The boys had a great time playing together. Jacob just adores his older cousin and looks up to him immensely.

Jacob learns to ride his tricycle!
Over the last month, Jacob has been working on riding his tricycle on his own. This week he mastered coordinating steering and pedaling, and was so excited by this new skill! He still loves being pushed with the handle at the zoo, but definitely wants to do it himself in front of the house.

Weekend in Pine
We were surprised to wake up Sunday morning to A LOT of snow on the ground, and it continued to snow the rest of the day. We tried driving home on Sunday, but due to road closure, we got to spend another night with Grandma and Papa. One of Jonathan's friends loaned us a pair of kids telemark skiis, so Jacob got to try skiing for the 1st time. He loved it!

Paddle surfing in Newport Beach
We spent our last few hours in CA playing at the beach in Newport. It was a beautiful sunny day, and Jacob loved playing in the surf and sand! Unfortunately Mama & Jacob forgot our swimsuits, but it was fun watching Daddy paddle surf with his good friends Jaime & Andy.

San Clemente Baby Shower
Since I'm missing Libby's babyshower by one weekend, we met up with her in San Clemente to celebrate the upcoming birth of baby Travella :)
Though Jacob was not in his best spirits (perhaps the beginning of his current Croup infection...), we shared a yummy lunch with a beautiful view of the Pacific ocean. And for Jacob's enjoyment, the train went by every 30 minutes for a total of 5-6 times!
Thank you Aunt Mary for making the beautiful baby blanket, hat, & booties!

Weekend at the Beach House
This past weekend we flew to CA for a friend's wedding. Since it was an adult only wedding, Jacob got to spend lots of quality time with Grammy & Grandpa Ward. Aunt Sarah drove down from Mammoth too, so it was wonderful spending time with family. The weather was also especially warm, so we got to take lots of walks by the ocean.

Every morning Jacob wanted to wake Rara up, sometimes as early as 6am...luckily I was able to keep him busy until a little later. Nonetheless every morning he crawled in bed with her.
