Children's Museum

Today we met our friends Phaedra & Natalie at the Children's Museum in Phoenix. We had a great time playing, and especially enjoyed that the place was empty! Jacob & Natalie hit up all their favorite rooms as well as a few new ones.

Jacob is really enjoying his new preschool at ASU's Child Study Lab. Today there were lots of dress-up activies, and luckily Mama had the camera with her.

Visit with Great Papa Steele

Mama's Papa (now known as the 'Great Papa') isn't doing too well health-wise, so Mama and Jacob flew out to Nevada to go visit he and Grand-Betty. Grammy flew out from CA to join us as well. Even though it was a short trip, Jacob & Mama really enjoyed the quality time spent with Papa.

A special trip to the Desert Breeze Train Park with Daddy while Mama was in class a few weekends ago.

Jacob's 1st Acoustic Guitar

Though some may think he is a bit too young, with his love for musical instruments we just couldn't resist. He's working now on learning how to pluck the strings gently rather than yanking at them, but we're making progress. We'll keep you posted...maybe someday he'll be a musician :)

Mountain Mama Playdate

This morning Jacob & I hosted a mountain mama playdate with a few of our friends. The boys had a great time playing with all the toys, and it was really nice for mama to chat with the other mamas. Here are some pictures from the playdate.

Jacob LOVES guitars, so Daddy made him one from a cardboard box tonight. He carried it around for hours, dancing to his favorite music by Eli Bolin.

Pine Weekend

Jacob & Mama spent this last weekend with Grandma and Papa in the Pine/Payson area while Daddy was in California for a friends bachelor party. We had a great time checking out the latest additions to the new house, going on hikes, playing at a local park, and attending a really cool rescue vehicle fair. As many of you know, Jacob LOVES all kinds of vehicles, so he was really excited to see so many in one day!
