Passover Celebration

We started off the weekend by picking Papa Chuck & Grandma Tilla up from the airport. They just returned from a 5 week vacation to Israel, so we were very excited to welcome them back to AZ!

Yesterday we celebrated Passover for the first time in our own home. Since Papa & Grandma are building their new home in Pine, we offered our house for a "veggie style" Passover Seder. Aunt Tracey & Cousin Jared drove down from Flagstaff for the weekend. And our good friends Mario, Sonja, & Clayton joined us as well. It was a fun evening of prayers, yummy food, & great conversation. Jacob was a good sport to try most of everything (even the bitter herbs, ie parsley), but in the end opted for his ever favorite hash brown.

Here are some photos from the weekend.

Grover wanted to ride the trike too

Bike ride to the pool

Rode to the ASU pool this morning for a swim. Jacob loves the chariot so much he didn't want to get out. Sat in the trailer for nearly an hour before letting us take him out & take off the helmet. He had fun watching daddy swim laps & handing him the kick board. Didn't want to go swimming at all, but we have a feeling that will change as the weather gets hotter!

Mountain Mama Playdate at Logan's House

Last Friday we went over to Bridget & Logan's house for a playdate with all the Mountain Mama & Babies. Jacob loved playing with all the Fisher Price toys (bus, airplane, garage...all the classics), and sometimes even his friends. We're having a little bit of trouble with sharing, but isn't it a lifetime lesson to learn anyway.

So wonderful to see all our friends ;)

A Week in the Life of Jacob Alexander

We had a very fun & busy week! This little guy has such a rough life :)

Lounging by the ASU pool eating snap peas & sipping on water

Playing in the bubble bath (Elmo of course) the night Daddy was away in New Mexico

Eating lunch while playing with his airplane. The figurines, known as grandma & papa, are a must at the table!

Hanging out at Daley park in his new sun hat. Jacob just learned to go down the slide all by himself on his bottom! He now goes down the slide at least a couple dozen times a day :)

And the biggest news of all, saved for last......Jacob slept through the night last night!!! Truly amazed his mama & daddy, when he woke us up at 5:15am. Though he didn't go back to sleep, we were still very proud of him.

Hopefully more full nights of sleep to come!!

Great Grammy's Rocker

Jacob loves his rocking chair. He's the 3rd generation to use it, & it's still in great shape, so maybe some day Coper's kids will enjoy it to!

Phoenix Zoo

Today we joined Phaedra & Natalie (from the AP group) at the Phoenix zoo for some exercise & to check out the animals. Natalie & Jacob had a great time playing, & it was nice to talk with another mama.

The volunteer at the squirrel monkey exhibit was super nice & offered to take our picture.

Jacob & Natalie hanging out at the bear exhibit. They both love to climb!

Airplane, Airplane, Airplane!!!

Jacob's newest fascination is airplanes. Talks about them all day long from the minute he wakes up until lying in bed at night. He loves his new Fisher Price Airplane & little people that he call grandma & papa since they recently left on an airplane to Israel.

Good thing we live close to an airport so that he can see airplanes taking off & landing dozens of times each day :)
