Christmas Eve at the Beach House

After celebrating Channukah, we continued driving to Long Beach to spend Christmas with the Ward Family. Though it was a quick trip to CA, we greatly enjoyed spending time with Mama's Family. Here are some of the pictures from Christmas Eve.

Jacob understands a bit more about christmas trees this year, though Santa and why he gets presents is still a bit of a mystery.

Jacob didn't quite understand why we left cookies out or who this Santa person was that got to eat them...but we started the tradition anyway (with Jacob getting his own cookie too!)

Happy Channukah!!!

We celebrated the 4th night of Channukah at Great Grandma Chana's house in Desert Hot Springs, CA. Jacob really enjoyed playing with his cousins Justice & Peyton.

Hawaii Vacation - Week 2

The second week we found a new beach that is absolutely perfect for toddlers to swim & play. It was a little hard to find and very secretive since it is right in front of homes that cost between 25 - 75 million dollars!!! There was a very calm lagoon for kids to play in, and amazing snorkeling just beyond the rocks.

Of course the vacation just flew right by, but we all had a great time! Minus a minor mishap with a few sea urchins by Grandma & Papa, it was a perfect trip.

Playing with Cordelia (toy he found buried in the sand, thanks Stella)
Jacob decided one day it was too cold to go swimming so he played in the sand all day and took walks in the nearby garden. We were amazed how long he would play by himself just pretending with his toys.

Hawaii Vacation - Week 1

We spent 2 glorious weeks relaxing in beautiful Kona, Hawaii in the middle of December. Along with Grandma Tilla & Papa Chuck, everyday was spent playing, sleeping, or reading on the beach. Jacob loved playing in the sand, pretend snorkeling, and riding on his boogie board. Of course he couldn't spend 2 weeks without trains, so we had to draw train tracks in the sand for him to follow along.

Here are some pictures from the first week.

Jacob's day at the beach began the same everyday: speedo, rashguard shirt, wetsuit, sunscreen, water shoes, hat....repeat!
Though he was always the most covered kid on the beach, he still ended up with a dark tan.

Pine House Update

Right after Thanksgiving we helped Grandma Tilla & Papa Chuck move into their new Pine House. We emptied lots of boxes and tried out the new pizza oven. We even found an old electric train set of Uncle Seans, which Jacob loved!

Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Hands down the best pizza we've ever had!

Happy Thanksgiving

This year it was the Posner/Warner Thanksgiving at our house. We were hoping to have the 1st Thanksgiving in Pine, but due to construction delays we'll have to wait till next year. Grandma Tilla, Papa Chuck, Cousin Jared, & Aunt Tracey came down to Phoenix to celebrate Thanksgiving at our house. The boys had a great time making apple pie with Grandma Tilla & going to zoo.

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

We only took a few pictures, so here are a couple.

Cousin Time!

On Tuesday, Jacob's cousin Jared came down from Flagstaff for a visit. The boys had a great time playing together; Jacob looks up to his older cousin with such admiration! Jacob enjoyed having Jared down for a visit so much that he broke down in tears when he left Thanksgiving night :)
Thanks for coming to visit Jared!

Jacob's Blue Grass Banjo Band!

After attending a free blue grass concert in October, Jacob is now obsessed with Blue grass music and all musical instruments. His current favorites are the guitar, banjo, drum, & mandolin. He likes to line us up on the t-mold while the blue grass music is playing. Luckily directv has a blue grass station so he can listen 24/7!
