Happy Halloween!

Jacob was a pumpkin this year, compliments of Great Auntie Mary. Cousin Kenneth wore this same costume 16 years ago. Jacob fought a bit at first, but when he realized he got to run around the neighborhood and collect gifts he was excited. Auntie Sarah, Grandma Tilla, and Papa Chuck were all on hand for the festivities.

We had to let him have at least one piece of candy. He chose a lollipop and enjoyed a few licks which he shared with his Grandma Tilla.

Camping in Payson

We escaped the Phoenix heat this weekend to go camping in Payson with Grandma Tilla & Papa Chuck. Jacob had a great time running around the forest and playing with Sparky. We also got to see Grandma & Papa's new home-to-be site in Pine. Can't wait till the house is built and we can escape to the mountains more often!

Jacob is working on molar #4 now, so he had a pretty tough night on Saturday. But with a bit of Tylenol he was still able to be his happy cheerful self for most of the day time. We hope after this molar comes in we get a break for a while. For some reason they all seem to be coming in at once. Poor little guy :(

Grammy Visits Tempe

We've had a great time playing with Grammy this week. Jacob has really missed her, so we are so glad she came out for a visit :)
We've kept pretty busy going for bike rides, playing at the park & library, & doing our normal errands. Grammy has been a big help around the house & with Jacob. Tomorrow she returns to CA & then is off to the east coast to visit with Auntie Sarah. But we'll see her soon for Thanksgiving :)

Mesa Arts Center Concert & Lunch

Last Thursday we met up with some friends from the AP group for a concert at the park. All the kids loved the music & storytelling, and it was really nice being outside!

The weather has cooled down considerably, so we try and get outside as much as possible. Jacob is loving the bike trailer, so we ride to the park or to ASU to visit daddy at least a few times a week!

Grammy is visiting right now, so we are enjoying spending lots of quality time together. We'll get some pictures up of Grammy & Jacob soon :)

Jacob's First Bike Ride !!!

Today we took Jacob for his first trip in the bike trailer. It was just a short trip around the neighborhood, but he seemed to really love it! Last week we got him helmet, and it took some games and funny faces to get him to stop trying to tear it off. I think riding around in his chariot helped to take his mind off the 3 molars that are currently cutting through!

Now that the weather is cooling off we can go on bike rides all over Tempe!

Thanks Ron & Debbie for loaning us the trailer, the trial run was a success!

Trip to the Zoo !!

Yesterday we visited the Phoenix Zoo with good friends Kristi & Sam. Jacob loved seeing the animals, especially petting the goats & sheep in the children's petting zoo!

Jacob is getting better at being gentle, but still needs a few reminders.

Some updates on Jacob - he is cutting 2 new molars, so that brings his teeth total to 8! He seems to be doing real well though, not much grumpiness.
He is becoming quite the talker too, new words include: teeth, eye, nose, hair, ear (he can also point to these features), & kitty.

He is an expert walker now, barely ever crawls. And climbs anywhere he can get the chance.
