4 months...2 weeks !!

This last week Jacob went to the pediatrician for his 4 month check-up. He now weighs 13 lb 1.5 oz & is 25 in long! He is growing up so fast :)
He wasn't too happy to get 4 vaccinations, but luckily he didn't cry too long. And then it was a day or two of feeling pretty crummy. Now we're all trying to get over a cold, so it has been a trying week. But I think we are finally on the upswing.
Today we spent a fun-filled afternoon with our good friends the Calhouns. We took a hike up Pinnacle Peak in Scottsdale & then went out for pizza & ice cream afterwards. The four Calhoun girls loved playing with Jacob, and he was all smiles staring at them. He especially loved Mary singing "Old MacDonald" to him. The bottom picture is from one of our many swim outings with the Calhouns. Jacob is enthralled with Elka !

California Trip !!!

Mama & Daddy took me to Long Beach, CA for the first time last weekend to visit Grandpa & Grammy Ward. Even Auntie Sarah flew in from DC to visit me. It was a long car ride, but I was good and slept the whole time!
We went to Newport Beach where I got to put my tooties in the water, boy was it cold. (mama forgot the camera in the car, so we don't have any pictures of this).
On Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch & went sailing in a Harbor 20 in Newport Bay. Daddy even let me steer for a short while. I can't wait till I'm big enough to take one of these out on my own. Then we went to Daddy's friend Jaime's birthday party.
We had a lot of fun. It was a very full day :)
Then on Sunday Grandma & Papa Warner, & Great Aunt & Uncle Steele, & Cousin Kenneth joined us all for brunch at the yacht club. There is a picture of me in my sunday best. I had so much fun seeing all my family.
Unfortunately, mama wasn't feeling well, so we had to make a short trip to the ER, but don't worry, she's ok now. Thanks Grandma Tilla & Papa Chuck for hanging out with me while mama was away. Then so mama could rest we got to hang out at the beach house for another day. I had so much fun spending extra time with Grammy & Grandpa Ward. And Grammy took real good care of me and mama. Then we took a plane home to Arizona. Poor daddy had to drive home by himself. We love him for it though.
All in all we had a great trip!

 

Bathtime anyone...

My daddy gives me a bath every night. Then he wraps me up in a towel and holds me real tight. Here I am in my puppy towel. Aren't I cute? 

My new jumper toy!!

This is my new jumpie toy, it is so much fun. I haven't figured out how to use all the toys on it, but I'm trying. And my feet don't reach the floor yet, so it makes jumping hard. But I'm sure I'll be touching the ground soon.

Laker Time...

thanks libby for my very first Laker hat. daddy & i had so much fun watching the Lakers play the Sonics. i have no idea what this basketball thing is, but it sure is fun to watch and cheer. Go Lakers!!!

this week grandpa ron came to visit me from florida. we had lots of fun walking around ASU while mama was in class. thank you grandpa for taking care of me :)
mama says we are traveling to florida next month to meet nana jill and have more fun. see you soon grandpa & nana! 

My California Friends!!

last weekend mama & daddy took me to meet Aidan & his mommy Cathy. i had lots of fun hanging out with them. mama says i'm gonna see them again in a week, i can't wait :)

My first friend :)

this is my first baby friend. his name is anders & he is one month younger than me. but he is already a full head taller! we had fun staring at each other this weekend. can't wait till we are older & can run around & play together!
mama forgot the camera so we don't have any pictures of us together, but we'll get some next time. hope to see you soon Anders :)
